Altastream’s Switchgear and Distribution products can be integrated within the generator enclosure, be contained within a separate E-House, or packaged as a Nema 1 Panel for integration with your own MCC. We can also deliver customized standalone E-Houses, for your specific project needs.
Switchgear
Switchgear is an important component of each power solution. AltaStream has the capability and experience to make sure that the equipment meets your needs and is in compliance with the applicable local electrical codes. This might be a simple 100% rated MCCB for a single generator, or perhaps a medium voltage transfer switch with multiple air breakers in an I-line panel. AltaStream’s expertise always includes safety considerations, such as panel SCCR ratings, ground fault monitoring and grid tie safety relays. AltaStream works together with some of the world’s best electrical panel and switchgear manufacturers to provide the solution that you need for your application.
Automatic Load Banks
Load banks help ensure that you get the most out of your Power Generation investment by maintaining engine loads at the recommended minimum levels. Loads may vary throughout the day, or from season to season. An automated Load bank takes care of these fluctuations. AltaStream Load banks are outdoor rated and come with optional snow hoods. They can be controlled manually or be fully automated. Sizes range from under 50 kW to 2 MW and are available in any voltage. Our engineers will help match the optimal size and automated control of the Load bank to your specific generator and plant load specification, including for multiple synchronized generators.
