AltaStream has extensive experience packaging generators to a customer’s requirements. We can provide detailed engineering support and tailor the solutions to meet your needs. Our custom solutions run from small hybrid energy solutions up to power plants of 10 megawatts. The customer focused, brand agnostic design allows for a wide range of engines, alternators, and control systems well suited for applications ranging from simple generators to tri-generation CCHP where power, heat and CO2 is captured for maximum overall efficiency.
AltaStream specializes in application-specific design for custom projects. We compile information about the operating site such as active loads, electrical single line drawings, safety requirements, ambient temperatures, weather conditions, altitude, fuel analysis (for natural gas models), expected usage model and more to provide the best generator and packaging solutions. This service, which is provided with every custom packaging order, includes research and design, 3D CAD modeling, and 2D structural, electrical, mechanical and layout drawings. From continuous ‘island’ style operation in the oil fields, to on site distributed power generation site, we engineer it all.
As part of the sales cycle our engineering and design team will typically produce 2D and 3D representational drawings of the solution under consideration. These are a helpful visual tool that allow customers to ‘see’ what their prospective solution entails. Once we embark on a project our team produces detailed design drawings for final approval, ensuring that what is built is exactly what is required. During this design phase we work closely with our customer or their engineering firm and will incorporate any required changes or additions. After the approval of the submittal drawings, we create shop drawings that are used by our metal fabricators, engineering firms, electrical contractors, and of course by our own technicians in our packaging facility.
